Be Fraud-Aware This Tax Season
Another tax season is here, and scammers are finding ways to try and collect your personal information.
It’s time to be cautious, and watch out for common scams like:
- Unclaimed Refund Scams – Fake IRS letters asking for personal information
- IRS Impersonation Calls – Threats of arrest unless you make a payment
- Fictitious Tax Collection Calls – The IRS will never attempt to collect payment over the phone or with a prepaid card.
