New Card Security Features

We’ve enhanced card security for our members with new debit card controls.

Members can disable and enable their debit cards when logged in to online banking or the mobile app. In just a few clicks, you can turn your card off to prevent card use.

This is a great way to protect against fraudulent activity or for peace of mind if you’ve temporarily misplaced your debit card.

Here’s How to Disable Your Card:

  • Login to Online Banking
  • Choose ‘Remote Control Cards’ from the Upper Left Menu
  • Change Your Card Status from ‘Enabled’ to ‘Disabled’
  • Confirm by Clicking Submit in the Pop Up
  • Take the Same Steps to Enable Your Card

Here Are Three Reason to Use this Feature:

  • When Traveling for Enhanced Card Security
  • If Your Card is Misplaced – Temporarily Disable Until Located
  • If You Suspect Fraud – Disable to Prevent Unwanted Purchases

Keep in mind – recurring subscriptions like gym memberships, streaming TV services, and monthly fixed donation amounts will continue to process even if your card is disabled. These charges were preauthorized when you signed up for the service.

Variable charges set up for auto pay such as utility bills or electric bills will not process if your card is disabled. These charges are not preauthorized since the amount due changes every month.

Returns, credits, dispute adjustments, and interest will continue to process even if your card is disabled.

Disabling your card strictly prevents point-of-sale transactions and variable auto-pay charges.

Don’t forget – when you’re ready to use your card again, you have to enable it or your transactions will be declined at the register.
